Sunday School
Sunday School – At Peace Lutheran Church, our Sunday School program focuses on learning and sharing God’s love! Each Sunday, children have the opportunity to enjoy seeing how God’s Word applies to their own lives while they grow in faith together.
- 9:15 – 10:15 am, Mid-September through early May.
- Our program offers children from 4K to 5th grade the chance to learn about God’s love in correlation with the bible reading from the church worship service each week through devotions, music, offerings, and lessons.
- Some other Sunday School Features include an annual Christmas Program & Cookie Social, and 2nd Grader Bible Sunday.
- Sunday School is led by the Director and a great group of volunteer teachers and helpers. Email Laura Ruotsala to learn more about how you can be part of our Sunday School Ministry! youthed@peacelc.org

Summer Opportunities
- Summer Sunday School Challenge for all Sunday School-aged children is available. This includes reading four bible stories that we did not learn about during the school year and some community involvement items. Copies will be on the parish ed bulletin board in the donut room and on the table in the gathering area. It is a good way to keep the children reading the bible during the summer and getting involved. I hope your child(ren) will participate!
- Summer Sunday School – Join Ms. Laura on Sunday, June 16, to make a Father’s Day gift! This is open to any 4K-Power Hour children. We will meet in the 3rd grade classroom at 9:20 am. We will also meet Sunday, July 21 and Sunday, August 18, for Summer Sunday School. We will do a story and craft during the hour.
- VBS – Led by Pastor Stuart and many wonderful volunteers, this first full week of August features many fun activities such as games, story time, snacks, music, crafts, & more! There’s a program that follows to showcase all that was learned. Here is the link to the VBS Registration Form God’s Backyard 2024.
Confirmation
Confirmation – 7th & 8th Graders meet Wednesday evenings at 6:30 from September through May. There are learning sessions from Luther’s Small Catechism, fellowship nights, servant events, and acolyte opportunities. Ceremonial worship services are in May.
Peace Library
Peace Lutheran Church Library – You will find a large collection of books, DVDs, and music CDs for adults and children available for checkout. The material check-out process is noted on the library desk with books returned to the white can in the library. Newer materials for the library can be found on the black cart. The library is here for the congregation and is open whenever the church building is open. Periodically volunteers are needed for inventory, book processing, library organizing, and updating. If interested in helping, please contact Rhonda Winter @ 920-370-2867.
